The ‘Just So’ festival near Leek in Staffordshire is geared towards Children and has many interactive events happening over the weekend. Musica were running a series of exciting music workshops in which a rock band was created comprising 15 keen budding rock stars! Working with Tim & George the children learned to sing, play drums, keyboards, electric, acoustic and bass guitars (many of them for the first time!) and, to write and perform a song from scratch. The groups then also created a samba piece and brushed up some cool dance moves too! In less than two hours, the band had written a song all about their festival experiences and how the different elements of music fit together to make a finished product. The end result was to perform on a festival stage with a full PA system, in front of a large, expectant and appreciative festival crowd!
