Musica History

Tim Ainslie & George Fothergill co-founded Musica in 2010 as a specialist company devoted to creative learning; since then the company dedicated itself to young people and adults disadvantaged by personal circumstances such as disability, ill health, poverty or isolation.

Musica formally achieved Charitable status in 2013.

The range of workshops and services Musica offer range from hosting group workshops writing and recording songs and offering fun sing-along sessions with a live band to one to one sessions with individuals.

Over recent years Musica have been able to lead some individuals through formal music qualifications and onto to full time music education courses.

Musica are able to bring in additional specialist staff such as DJ’ing tutors, Recording Engineers and Dance instructors for specific workshops.

Musica also have a number of ex-workshop participants that have become volunteers and are now working with Musica, some of whom have gone on to be Workshop Leaders themselves.
